The Ring of Truth
Nothing is as it Seems
We keep running into awkward social situations because apparently people are more interested in tip toeing around other people’s beliefs than in discovering the truth. I keep hearing, “let’s agree to disagree” when people are literally unable to hear or see any information that contradicts something that they’ve been conditioned to believe.
In this, our first episode of our new podcast, I have just read a well-known children’s story to my husband, Bala, who was born in 1942. I was born in 1958, the year the book was published and enjoyed reading it because I was forced to read Dick, Sally and Jane, the most boring books in the world and this book was so much more interesting. But how did it condition us? Watch the video and try to guess the book, which I accidently reveal at the end.
